Face it we all know that we need to be using Social Media to help our businesses. But which ones? How to use it? Do I just post and see what happens? The answer to that is NO!
You need to be treating Social Media just like any other marketing tool. First you need to take the time and have a strategic way of what you need to be doing. Here are the basics of each platform and some important ideas to do.
You do not need to be on every platform all at once. Take it slow and start a couple. Once you feel comfortable add another.
Remember “You are Building Relationships through Social Media and gaining Brand Awareness, not just informing.”
So let’s get started……………………………………………..
Basic for any Social Media Platform:
Types of Posts:
Most of all is be prepared to take it offline. Have a plan to call people every day from your Social Media community. Introduce yourself and talk to them for a few minutes. This will make a stronger bond. Imagine calling 5-10 people each day and getting to understand what they are about. You will create a better bond and have more interaction with them after you make it more personal.
Also make sure all your Social Media sites you are using are on your signature of your emails and on all your printed materials.
Remember, these are just basics and some ideas. Being creative and the out-of-the-box thinker is good also. There are so many things to add and more detail on each one that can be done. Biggest idea, as stated before; is be yourself and have a good time. People follow/buy from people, not because of brand and items. The following will become loyal to you and to what you say and do if you keep it real and post well.
If you see it is too much for you or you need assistance with understanding how to use it. Or just want that person to bounce ideas off of, get a coach or trainer to work with you. There are many throughout the states. They will always talk to you in the beginning and find out about them and their costs.
